Principle Purpose of Job

The Bartender is responsible for delivering consistent drink orders for patrons at the bar or through server orders placed in the restaurant. It is essential to provide the guests with a positive experience before they step out of the bar. As a Devil’s Thumb Ranch Bartender, you will be assuming the role of tour guide, communicator, entertainer, curator and rancher (at heart).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks in an unwaveringly positive manner. 
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bartending role preferred.
• Demonstrated reliability and dependability in previous work experiences.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift/carry moderate weights (20-30 lbs).

Compensation Description:

$11.40/hr + Tips Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
