About the role

AirSage, a Transportation Big Data Analytics enterprise, is seeking a Transportation Planning Consultant with a focus on sales of products and/or services.   This person will be responsible for presenting clients and prospects with opportunities for the use of big data GPS location information on their projects.  Using GPS data from mobile devices and connected vehicles (CVs), AirSage interprets billions of anonymous daily mobile data points into meaningful analytics for our clients.

We are looking for a motivated, self-guided individual to join our solutions team and become a trusted advisor to clients within the transportation industry - public and private sectors, typically planners and engineers.  AirSage has a fast paced and entrepreneurial work environment. If you love client interaction, understanding clients’ needs to determine an appropriate data solution, and have a background in working with or for federal, state or local government, we’d like to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities:

●     Find new leads and clients in the transportation industry (DOTs, MPOs, county, and local governments, and consultants).

●     Conduct targeted outreach to convert leads to clients/customers and continually fill the sales pipeline.

●     Perform virtual meetings with potential new clients and attend conferences (virtually and in-person) to demonstrate AirSage’s transportation solutions.

●     Respond to requests for information and initial prospect screenings.

●     Provide client feedback to AirSage’s sales, product and development teams to align AirSage products with client needs.

Requirements

●        Prior experience working for a federal, state or local DOT, MPO, or as a consultant working with these organizations.

●        Prior experience selling technology products or services. Selling location information is a distinct plus.

●        Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university.

●        Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.

●        Intellectually curious to learn all you can about the products, solutions and transportation industry.

●        Strong listening skills resulting in purchase order scope and business requirements for product development.

●        Strong business development acumen – filling the pipeline is just as important as closing!

●        Ability to work in an entrepreneurial remote work setting and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

●        Ability to travel up to 15% of the time for conferences and client meetings.

Preferred Experience/Requirements

●        Demonstrated experience directly working on transportation planning/engineering projects.

●        Experience selling enterprise-level projects with or without visual representation of an existing end product.[11] [JS2]
