As the Senior Benefits Specialist, you’ll be responsible for day to day administration of our employee benefit programs, supporting the Benefits and Total Rewards team objectives. You will support Lime employees with Benefits related queries in the US and Canada, while providing back-up support for EMEA and APAC benefit programs, under the guidance of the Head of Global Benefits, including leaves of absence, health and wellness plans, retirement plan administration, open enrollment, plan renewals, and new plan implementation. 

What you'll do:

  • Primarily responsible for the day to day administration of Lime’s employee benefits programs including health and wellness plans, retirement plans, state and supplementary disability coverage, life/AD&D, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flex Spending Accounts (FSA), leave of absence (LOA), and other voluntary benefits.
  • Coordinate employee requests related to disability insurance, parental leave, voluntary plan enrollment, and Qualifying Life Event changes. 
  • Administer Lime 401(k) plan, including processing enrollments, changes, non-discrimination testing, annual 5500 filings, and answering employee questions  
  • Serve as a first point of contact for benefits related queries, providing excellent customer service, problem solving, and guidance to Lime employees.
  • Conduct regular audits of benefit invoices, active rosters, required documentation, and carrier file feeds. 
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment, including leading orientation sessions, vendor communications, and data transfers, ensuring accurate employee enrollments and changes.. 
  • Provide support for annual policy renewals, implementing new plans, and administering timely billing, roster adjustments, and ensuring policy activity without lapse of coverage.  
  • Provide secondary support for Lime’s global benefits programs across EMEA and APAC, including plan administration, policy renewals, employee education, enrollments, and off-boardings. 
  • Coordinate as needed with payroll, legal, local management, employees, and third party vendors in processing enrollments, claims, Return to Work (RTW) procedures, offboarding, and regulatory compliance. 

About you:

  • 5+ years of benefits related experience coupled with an analytical mindset and proven track record in supporting global plans and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in contributing to a team, including the capacity to review and improve workplace practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125 plans, workers' compensation,  COBRA, and DOL regulations, along with state regulations in CA, WA, NY, CO, and NJ required 
  • Experience working in global benefits administration preferred 
  • Experience within MS Excel or Google Sheets required 
  • Knowledge of G Suite/Google Workspace preferred 
  • Familiar with Workday HRIS, ADP Workforce Now preferred
The anticipated salary range for this position is $77,000 - $126,000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
