The Sr. Segment Manager, Advisory Services, will be the go-to partner for our largest and most complex plan sponsors, leading the delivery and expansion of Empower Advisory Group’s advisory and managed account services. This role combines strategic client management with sales execution—driving adoption, presenting to committees, and consulting with internal and external partners. We’re looking for a seasoned relationship-builder who can bring expertise, leadership, and polished communication skills to every interaction.

What you will do:
  • Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for the participant advisory services program across assigned business segments.
  • Act as a strategic consultant to business lines using the EAG Suite of Advisory Services.
  • Partner with Sales to understand pipeline, identify client opportunities, and develop annual support strategies.
  • Deliver compelling client and committee presentations on fiduciary topics, product updates, and industry trends.
  • Train internal personnel and institutional partners on EAG services.
  • Communicate client and partner needs to EAG leadership, helping to shape priorities and service delivery.
  • Provide standard and custom reporting to clients and partners, including product performance, participant impact, and SLA metrics.
  • Design and execute campaign strategies for product rollouts, annual support, and updates—reporting regularly on outcomes.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee the implementation and reporting of service-level agreements for large clients.
  • Resolve complex issues and special requests related to Advisory Services in partnership with sales, service, and internal teams.
  • Support EAG business development efforts by contributing to training, demonstrations, and sales presentations.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and project teams on enhancements to EAG services.
  • Lead and develop team members, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and productivity oversight.
  • Maintain records, monitor trends, and share insights with leadership.

What you will bring:
  • Degree in business, finance or similar field. Without a degree, an additional four years of directly related work experience is required
  • 10+ years of financial services industry experience, including advisory services operational experience
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Series 65 registrations required within corporate-established timelines and FINRA fingerprinting required
  • Commitment to delivering optimal solutions, in a timely manner, and balancing customer needs with the best interests of the company
  • Proven experience designing and delivering clear, respectful communications across audiences

What will set you apart:

  • Exhibit listening, patience, empathy, authenticity, proactivity and perseverance with external and internal customers.
  • Maintain a positive approach despite challenges, constraints, and/or customer emotions
  • Build collaborative and cooperative relationships; effectively manages conflict
  • Find common ground and build trust with co-workers, managers, partners, and customers through demonstration of inclusiveness and appreciation for diverse backgrounds, cultures, thoughts and experiences.
  • Operate with integrity and communicates respectfully in language, writing, and actions
  • Listens to others’ perspectives; conscientiously communicates verbally and in writing with attention to clarity, brevity, perceptual tone, and professionalism; refrains from using 'us and them'
  • Speaks up in front of peers and managers to share conflicting ideas or support a point

***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.***
