Hyperforce Trust Platform teams are responsible for the architecture, development, and "run-it" aspects of all security infrastructure and services for our internal and external customers. Our 1000+ member organization delivers failure proof Security services, infrastructure, networking and compute that is critically important to our customers and our partner teams.

We are looking for a credible architect who can enable HTP teams to do the best work of their lives. In this role, you will take direct responsibility for enhancing the quality of our platform. Your duties will include identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, reducing manual work, and supporting our developers to increase throughput and improve quality and trust outcomes. Ultimately, you will serve as the key driver for improving Availability, Security, and Quality outcomes for our teams.

Your Impact:

• Drive strategic quality initiatives, working with Product Managers, other Architects, Engineers, SME's, and the broader Salesforce organization
• Coordinates and drives the end-to-end ‘Test automation’ and ‘Performance test’ practice across the workgroup.
• Crafts overall Test architectural principles, frameworks, and standards
• Creates solutions that are enterprise-scalable and maintainable
• Works in a collaborative manner to improve communication, collaboration, and alignment among teams inside and outside of the organization
• Provides input into long-range planning requirements, standard methodologies, and operational guidelines, with a focus on continuous improvement of platform quality and serviceability
• Drives research, case studies, and prototypes on innovative technologies and how they can be used
• Ensures that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence

Required Skills:

• Ability to work with other architects and principal architects to craft the ‘service quality’ vision and roadmap for the organization
• 15+ years of software development/Testing experience
• Extensive experience in delivering high quality functional and non-functional outcome for large-scale distributed systems using cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc..)
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Python)
• Deep understanding of factors influencing performance of software applications at multiple layers including services, databases, network, CPU and memory utilization, JVM and threads etc.
• Hands on experience in building test automation framework for a large enterprise organization.
• Setting up & maintaining knowledge sharing, communities of practice and centre of excellence to improve Test automation and Performance & scale test practice across a company
• Ability to provide (informal) mentorship to team members to improve operational maturity of Test automation, Performance, Scale and Load testing practices and aid in their technical development
• A related technical degree required

Preferred Skills:

• Experience building services with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with platforms such as Apache
