Job Responsibilities:
• Provides daily athletic training services for a high school outreach athletic program.
• Assesses, treats and develops rehabilitation and reconditioning strategies for athletes.
• Designs and implements injury prevention and education programs.
• Provide athletic training services at an event schedule agreed upon by the Coordinator of Sports Medicine, the respective head coaches and/or the high school athletic director.
• Demonstrates proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment.
• Carries out all prescribed treatments and recommendations by the team/program/event physician.
• Provides athletic training services for pre-season physicals, sports games or matches, and related events as directed by the Coordinator of Sports Medicine.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors Degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited educational program. Master’s Degree is preferred.
Qualifications: Must be a Certified Athletic Trainer by the BOC and eligible for West Virginia and/or Ohio Athletic Trainer licensure. CPR and First Aid Instructor certification preferred.
Experience: Experience with high school athletics is preferred.
