Job Description:

Looking to strengthen your current skill set as a Senior Environmental Engineer? Do you excel at developing solutions to complex environmental challenges? We are hiring motivated individuals who enjoy working on remediation and restoration projects from small voluntary cleanups to complex active remediation sites. We have a broad portfolio of projects currently in progress that include all phases of remediation, including site investigations, feasibility studies, design, construction management, and long-term monitoring. Complex projects include sediment remediation and restoration, mine closure, in-situ remediation, groundwater and wastewater treatment plants, landfill remediation, SVE systems, large scale excavations, and LNAPL treatment systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete a variety of assignments such as preparing technical reports, design evaluations, technical presentations, leading meetings, and developing work products for client and regulatory agency reviews.
  • Ability to collaborate and cross-sell within Parsons’ other engineering divisions including municipal, transportation, and infrastructure groups
  • Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and project Engineers working on the same project.
  • Work with project managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
  • Provide key business development support to ongoing pursuits, including development of win strategy preparation of proposal packages.
  • Provide technical support and leadership/mentorship to junior staff.
  • May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering curriculum with 8+ years of related work experience
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Masters or PhD) in environmental engineering or closely related field
  • Current Professional Engineer registration is required with interest to adding PE registrations in key states through reciprocity
  • Previous experience in environmental statistical and geospatial analysis with focus on sediment sites is strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices and environmental regulations
  • Proficiency in various computer software applications typically used within the assigned discipline
  • Detail-oriented, team player with good written and oral communication, analytical, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a team

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
