Data Warehouse Test Lead

We are looking for a seasoned Data Warehouse Test Lead to oversee and manage testing activities across enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL and SQL testing, and will be responsible for leading the test team, managing scope, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality data validation and traceability across multiple systems and partners.

Your role

• Apply strong ETL and SQL testing knowledge to validate data transformations, loads, and extractions across data warehouse systems.
• Formalize test setup including test scenarios, environments, data, cases, and scripts. Draft and approve test cases with detailed execution steps.
• Lead the testing team, manage scope, and report status to project managers and stakeholders. Coordinate test planning and execution across internal teams and Edge Partners.
• Manage defect resolution to meet entry and exit criteria in ALM. Conduct defect triage meetings and retest resolved defects.
• Confirm requirements and maintain traceability throughout the testing lifecycle. Keep requirement documents up to date in collaboration with upstream teams and users.
• Conduct data traceability and lineage checks at multiple points to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Operate as the overall process owner for key business functions such as Meter to Cash, Customer Experience, and Sales & Service.
• Test functionality end-to-end across systems including Vista DW, SCG DW, and Edge Partners. Document test conditions and scripts, and execute functional test scripts based on testing type.
• Coordinate with the data preparation team to ensure availability of test data for specific scripts.
• Coordinate execution of scripts and defect fixes involving Edge Partners. Report test execution and defect status for partner-conducted testing.
• Maintain test script inventory for the workstream and ensure alignment with project goals.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data warehouse testing, including ETL and SQL.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data lineage.
• Experience with ALM tools and defect management processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and partner integration.
• Experience with Vista DW, SCG DW, or similar data warehouse systems.
• Knowledge of business processes such as Meter to Cash and Customer Experience.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
