What you will do:
Perform leak surveys on 5 Year annually, Business District, Selective Buildings and other non-jurisdictional inspections as required by Enbridge and the DOT.
Maintain facilities and equipment.
Perform annual cathodic protection inspections.
Perform all leak survey inspections (monitoring and trouble-shooting).
Conduct special tests for other regions and departments (NJD and road resurface).
Maintain and repair leak survey or cathodic protection test equipment.
Develop and strengthen department interactions with regions and area personnel.
Comply with all company Standard Practices and DOT requirements.
Education (Minimum Requirements)
Education Level:
High School Diploma or GED required
0 - 2 years of relevant experience required.
Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair of leak survey and corrosion detection equipment.
Basic knowledge of leak survey principles.
Basic knowledge of corrosion principles.
Basic knowledge of Enbridge Gas Utah leak survey and corrosion Standard Practices.
Basic knowledge of DOT regulations pertaining to leak survey and corrosion protection requirements.
Ability to read and understand pipeline system maps.
Ability to understand and complete written and oral instructions.
Ability to lift 100 pounds.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
Ability to see objects at close range.
Ability to see in the distance and to determine the distance and relationship between objects.
Ability to match or discriminate between colors.
Ability to detect odors related to natural gas.
Working Conditions
Outdoors 51-75%; Office Work Environment Up to 25%; Travel 51-75%;

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):
Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 100 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 100 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand sophisticated problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, prioritize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and supervise impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and connect with individuals via telephone.
