Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Purpose
ATI is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Millersburg, OR! A maintenance engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and executing maintenance activities to ensure that equipment, infrastructure, and facilities function reliably and efficiently. This role is responsible for the reliability, integrity, and lifecycle strategy of Medium Voltage infrastructure and emergency power assets across the Millersburg facility. While possessing technical expertise to provide direct field support, the role primarily focuses on orchestrating maintenance activities, directing specialized contractors, and facilitating critical technical communication between Central Services and the site’s production divisions. We are seeking a boots on the ground engineer who loves to coordinate projects and collaborate with people!
Primary Responsibilities
- Operational Liaison: Maintain a continuous partnership with Production teams to align maintenance schedules with operational targets, specifically regarding the transparent communication of required outages.
- Central Site Support: Serve as the primary electrical power resource for Central Services, managing general site facilities and infrastructure that directly support and impact the Chemical Operations, Consolidation, and Fabrication/Extrusion divisions to ensure overall site and localized system integrity.
- Contractor Coordination: Direct the work of outside sub-contractors for high-specialty tasks, including IR scanning, pole treatments, and major equipment overhauls.
- Asset Lifecycle Management: Monitor and manage Medium and Low Voltage services, including transformer inventory, DGA analysis, and the development of a rolling 5-year repair roadmap.
- Advanced Modeling: Utilize EasyPower and Ocalc Pro to maintain accurate site models and perform pole load modeling to support future infrastructure needs.
- Power Contingency: Technical owner of the site's emergency generators and critical backup power distribution systems.
- Performance Optimization: Track implementation and effectiveness of maintenance strategies through KPIs to reduce downtime and optimize equipment lifespan.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience monitoring and managing Medium and Low Voltage services, including transformer inventory and DGA analysis.
- Experience coordinating electrical projects while working with vendors, contractors and machine operators.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace) and NFPA 70B (Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance) highly preferred.
- System Ownership: Ability to take a project from concept to completion, whether performing the work or supervising the crew.
- Communication: Skilled at explaining complex electrical risks and outage requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with EasyPower and Ocalc Pro is highly preferred.
- RCM Mentality: Driven by Reliability-Centered Maintenance—focusing on the health of the system to prevent unplanned downtime.
