About the role

Fluidra is looking for a CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.
  

The CNC Programmer will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining VMC 3 & 4th Axis, Swiss Type Machining, and CNC multi-spindle lathes with live tooling to produce high-precision components. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical expertise to meet rigorous quality and production standards in a fast-paced environment.

 WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

·          Set up and operate VMC, Swiss, and CNC lathes in accordance with engineering drawings and work orders.

·          Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and programming instructions to ensure accurate machine settings and production processes.

·          Monitor machine operations, perform routine inspections, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.

·          Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.

·          Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.

·          Maintain detailed production records, including machine logs, output data, and any deviations or issues encountered.

·          Create standard work instructions to assist with the setup of new and existing programs.

·          Choose appropriate tooling for machining operations with correct cutting parameters.

·          Troubleshoot CNC programs and implement process improvements.

·          Edit G-code manually and create custom post-processors for CAM programs to ensure optimal machine performance and accuracy.

·          Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

·          Collaborate with supervisors and quality control to ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently met.

WHAT WE SEEK

·          Trade school certification in Milling, Turning, and Swiss machining with a minimum of 2 years direct experience, or 4 years of direct experience operating CNC Milling, Turning, Swiss machining.

·          Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks.

·          Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CNC programming instructions.

·          Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

·          Experience using precision measuring instruments to verify product quality.

·          Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.

·          Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

·          Good communication skills and commitment to safety.

·          Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

·          Familiarity with Haas, Citizen, and DMG Mori Seki machines is a plus.
