We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join the Snap Lab team!
What you’ll do:
Be responsible for Spectacle's OS Application Framework for AR devices
Lead the development of OS Application Framework including but not limited to creating clean interfaces, robust IPC, Services
Manage and mentor a high -performing team of developers, in a fast-paced environment
Drive the technical roadmap for the engineering team
Collaborate with Design, Product, and Engineering teams distributed across multiple offices
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to gather high level requirements and architect modular, scalable software solutions
Proficient in Java or Kotlin and C++/C
Ability to craft scalable solutions in a resource constraint environment with due considerations for memory, power, thermal tradeoffs
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with a geographically distributed team
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience
11+ years of industry experience developing solutions for resource constrained devices
2+ years of experience leading or managing a technical team
Expert level knowledge of modern Operating Systems and application frameworks built on Linux/Android technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field such as computer science or electrical engineering
Experience with Typescript or Javascript
Experience designing and developing real-time interactive experiences
Experience developing high quality consumer electronics products
