Manager, Respiratory

Position Highlights:

• Manager, Respiratory, Evanston Hospital
• Salary Range: $44.37    $56.57    $68.77

What you will need:

• License:  Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required
• Education: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of respiratory therapy required
• Certification: CPR (BLS)
• Experience: Clinical experience as a respiratory therapist, with 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
   

What you will do:

• Oversee respiratory care services provided to patients, ensuring compliance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain the quality of respiratory care services, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage respiratory equipment, supplies, and inventory, ensuring availability and proper functioning of equipment.
• Develop, implement, and update departmental policies and procedures, keeping them in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues promptly and effectively.
