Business Operations Analyst - Delta Dental of MA

The Business Operations Analyst will work closely with various Delta Dental of MA functional areas to understand departmental goals, propose solutions, and implement changes.  Primarily responsible for evaluating and documenting existing business processes and recommending optimization efforts to enhance processes accordingly. 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop standard business requirements documentation and workflow diagrams.
• Evaluate business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and automation.
• Lead efforts to gather requirements for multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Be involved in change management and transformation projects and help stakeholders adapt to new processes, systems, or organizational changes resulting from project.
• Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancing processes and systems.
• Drive cross-functional meetings, providing input and coordinating efforts to achieve project goals.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand user needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements.
• Elicit business requirements using interviews, documentation analysis, requirements, and/or workshops.
• Organize information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and present information in a manner that stakeholders can review and approve.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to help others understand business performance.
• Engage in the development and execution of testing plans, documentation requirements and triage issues.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• BA/BS in Business, Information Technology, Healthcare or related field.
• 2 – 4 years of demonstrated experience in Business Analysis.
• Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders, at all levels, to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions.
• Self-starter with a natural ability to balance priorities and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.
• Ability to deliver effective solutions that provide tangible benefits within short timeframes.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Adept at evaluating problems accurately and displaying sound judgment, including measured risks and timely escalation.

Preferred:

• Experience in working in the insurance industry. 
• Experience in data analysis, requirements gathering, and Quality Assurance (QA) testing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively.
• Desire to work remotely and in a professional office setting.
• Ability to operate personal computer and related technologies.
