Director, Pharmacy Contracting

Description

The Director, Pharmacy Contracting conducts all aspects of pharmaceutical contracting and pricing including development, implementation, and maintenance. The Director, Pharmacy Contracting requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.

Responsibilities

The Director, Pharmacy Contracting ensures contract compliance and performs analysis regarding pharmacy claims and purchasing data to identify future contracting opportunities. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improves performance. Provides input into functions strategy.

               

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• 8 or more years of experience in pharmaceutical contracting and pricing including development, implementation, and maintenance
• 5 or more years of management experience as a supervisor, manager or director
• Strong financial acumen with proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior management
• Able to give direction and make sound business decisions
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

• Process improvement experience
