Job Description Summary:

This position provides leadership, management, financial accountability, strategy execution, coordination, and evaluation of implemented services for solutions in the adult shared services in adult foster care licensing and contract shared services. This position will lead and ensure compliance in the licensing processes, including leading and participating in County and Department of Human Services (DHS) committees that’s adult services focused. This position ensures those assigned to the team embrace organizational values and communication language and are actively engaged in their work within our communities.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1.    Assist the Director in managing the adult foster care licensing team to achieve strategic goals.
a.    Manage activities of assigned team members to achieve individual and team goals.
b.    Assist with the development of annual plans for the adult foster care licensing team to respond to member needs.
c.    Assist with developing budgets for the adult foster care licensingteam to maximize stewardship of resources.
d.    Identify and implement cross-training and shared learning amongst team members in partnership with other Community Solutions Associate Director roles.

2.    Manage the activities of assigned team members in assigned team.

a.    Assist with leading the team by delegating authority to team members to conduct daily operations while providing oversight to ensure that the team operates according to the annual plans and complies with all compliance and regulatory requirements.

b.    Manage the activities of the Adult Foster Care Licensing Team. This includes:

  • i.    Assists the Director with the processes of managing CRM documentation, marketing communications, and interactions with other central services departments.
  • ii.    Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction for shared services.
  • iii.    Develop and implement strategies to maintain data and program integrity within Sourcewell systems.
  • iv.    Actively participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • v.    Recommend and implement changes to processes and procedures.
  • vi.    Manages reports and insights that analyze survey/salesforce data. 
  • vii.    Assist with onboarding new counties for new shared adult services. 
  • viii.    Assists in the development of call and response templates to assist in the effectiveness of staff delivery. 
  • ix.    Updates and directs the Online Orientation System for new applicants
  • x.    Acts as the Investigation Liaison for the Regional Licensing Specialists 
  • xi.    Coordinates the Annual Conference 
  • xii.    Works with DHS to arrange and complete the Rule 13 audits with the participating counties  
  • xiii.    Meets with each Regional Licensing Specialists annually to make sure Sourcewell is complying with the Rule 13 audits within each county
  • xiv.    Leads new applicants through the online orientation process 

c.    Lead processes to ensure that the team works collaboratively with other teams.
d.    Lead training programs to ensure that the team follows best practices for engaging, developing, and growing services. 

3.    Manage partner and customer relationships through the use of various tools to ensure that feedback from customers is collected and that customers are satisfied.


4.     Manage assigned team members.
a.    Supervise, develop, train, and mentor assigned staff.
b.    Provide direction and actionable goals to ensure that the team understands how their performance impacts department, division, and organizational strategies and goals.
c.    Work with the Director of Licensing Services to identify staffing needs and ensure that the business unit has an appropriate headcount to support growth plans.
d.    Manage hiring, training, and onboarding processes and ensure that these are consistent with those followed by the Community Solutions team.
e.    Manage efforts to support and advance Sourcewell’s culture and values.
f.    Pattern our values of Seek, Empower, and Impact to your direct reports and the entire Community Solutions team.
g.    Develop and lead your team to become open, transparent, innovative, and collaborative with the Sourcewell team and external members and partners.


5.    Represent Sourcewell and Community Solutions.
a.    Represent Community Solutions team at internal events, board meetings, and retreats.
