We have an exciting opportunity within the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) for an Associate Director of Finance (M6). This role will be the finance lead for the LTAMDS/GhostEye Production Portfolio.
The Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) program is a rapidly growing strategic franchise addressing a $50B market space across 15+ domestic and international Customers over the next 20 years. The program has recently exited development with a successful Milestone C production decision and the first two option years for its Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) contract for US and International customer systems awarded.
The Production Finance Director will be responsible for oversight of a successful transition to production and the rapid expansion of the product line over the course of the Long Range Plan, with 5-year revenue exceeding $5B. The LTAMDS and GhostEye products support multiple programs and applications across LADS, requiring close collaboration and coordination with the Global Patriot and SMGBAD SSBU executing teams. The production portfolio includes a wide array of contract types and investment dependencies, with complicated capacity planning, external reporting, inventory management, and internal/external stakeholder influencing and prioritization. Additionally, existing and expanding Offset and Localization requirements for international customers are a key aspect of the role.
This highly visible role will provide leadership across a wide array of business activities throughout a product and program lifecycle, including program startup and execution, financial planning, investments in multiple colors of money, strategic pursuits and captures, customer and supplier engagements, and business case development. A successful candidate must have the ability to balance a broad range of responsibilities, including empowering a growing Finance team to maintain consistent, robust financial controls and analysis across the portfolio. As a business partner to the Production Senior Director, the Finance lead is relied upon to provide cross-functional leadership to the portfolio and must be comfortable presenting strategic recommendations to senior and executive leadership of the SSBU, LADS, Raytheon, and RTX.
This financial leadership role will be responsible for leading a current team of 8+ talented finance managers and analysts, coaching and mentoring members of the team at all levels, and for expanding the team with the right skill mix to support the rapid growth of the product line. With consistent near-term year-over-year growth in revenue of 100%+, this position requires proactive leadership and significant partnership with the Program Directors, Functional Leads, Technical teams and strategic partners to ensure alignment regarding strategy, operating and financial objectives, as well as being responsible for all elements of the financial interaction with customer representatives.
This role is being offered in onsite capacity and is based on the needs of the business. Onsite work can be done in Tewksbury, MA or Andover, MA. The preferred candidate will be located within a commutable distance to MA. Relocation assistance is not being provided.
What You Will Do:
Partner with LTAMDS/GhostEye Production Senior Director, LTAMDS/GhostEye CFO, and respective leadership teams to optimize business decisions on program execution, new business, and long-term strategy.
Ensure proper financial controls, maintain compliance, and support the needs of the business.
Lead Program execution and financial planning for the portfolio to drive favorable financial performance.
Creation and execution of Long Range and Annual Operating Plans.
Delivering monthly financial forecasts.
