About the role

Program Overview

The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.

Task 2 — Enterprise Applications Support — delivers engineering, operations, and sustainment of enterprise software applications and IT capabilities supporting more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 ARNG sites nationwide. This task area ensures mission-critical applications remain current, secure, and aligned with evolving ARNG requirements by integrating innovation, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement practices into application lifecycle management.

Position Summary

ECS is seeking an Information System Security Officer - Junior to support the Army National Guard ENOCS program by contributing to the security and integrity of critical information systems in Fairfax, VA. The selected candidate will assist in maintaining comprehensive security documentation and ensure compliance with established security protocols. This role is integral to the broader enterprise program, providing essential support in tracking Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), validating security controls, and monitoring vulnerability remediation efforts under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and updating security documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Track and manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Support the validation of security controls to ensure they meet compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and report on vulnerability remediation efforts to maintain system integrity.
  • Contribute to continuous monitoring activities to ensure ongoing compliance with security standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to support the development and maintenance of Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages.
  • Participate in the implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with NIST frameworks and FISMA requirements.
  • Support the security team in identifying and mitigating risks within application environments.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Clearance: TS//SCI Eligible required
  • S. Citizenship required
  • DoD 8140.03 Compliance: DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 722-Information Systems Security Manager at the Basic proficiency level
  • Certifications (one or more required): CC
  • Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
  • Experience in cybersecurity and vulnerability management within federal systems
  • Familiarity with RMF implementation and security control assessments
  • Strong understanding of POA&M management across DoD environments
  • Proven ability to support continuous monitoring and compliance efforts
  • Knowledge of NIST frameworks and FISMA requirements
