SUMMARY

Administers employee payroll and selects employees to fill vacant positions relating to all phases of the company by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll.

Maintain accurate payroll records: Data entry for time and attendance transactions.

Process garnishment and wage levy requests.

Create and produce routine required payroll reports and information data reports as requested by management.

Correctly input tax withholdings

Assure proper policies are followed.

Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations.

Employment verifications.

Document workflow and procedures.

Respond to requests for payroll information from internal and external authorized parties.

Familiar with governmental compliance regulations/laws.  

Responsible for recruiting and interviewing.

Schedule and conduct face-to-face interviews.

Attract applicants by placing job advertisement, participating in career and job fairs.

Efficiently and effectively fill positions while partnering with site supervisors.

Communicate with supervisors regularly.

Determine applicant qualifications by analyzing responses and verifying references.

Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data.

Complete new hire paperwork

Ability to effectively interact from owners to applicants.

Assist with other projects as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract variables.
