Also assists with ancillary revenue activities related to rentals and food and beverage, as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Supervisory Duties:
· Supervise the daily operations of the Retail team and any other assigned departments
· Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Idlewild's core values
· Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
· Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all retail positions and backfill these positions when needed
· Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
· Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Pennsylvania law
· Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
Departmental Duties:
· Welcome and greet all guests as they enter retail locations
· Conduct opening and closing procedures of assigned unit(s) including food preparation and cleanup.
· Manage inventory levels by completing daily stocking of all gift shops, checking orders, and moving inventory between shops
· Ensure a variety of items are available for guests to purchase and that store shelves are fully stocked
· Proactively communicate inventory needs to leadership before items are sold out
· Collaborate with Retail Manager to merchandise stores and improve product sales
· Ensure employees are adhering to departmental and company policies (theft of merchandise/counterfeit training/etc.)
· Monitor cashier activities to ensure continuous accuracy and compliance with POS procedures.
· Ensure merchandise is well stocked and organized
· Maximize unit visual merchandising standards.
· Maintain cleanliness of store areas including exteriors.
· Manage inventory, focusing on stock par levels, shrink and waste controls.
· Oversee ancillary duties related to lockers and water park rentals.
· Be on alert for possible theft
· Report maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor or manager in a timely manner
· All other duties as assigned by leadership
Education & Experience:
· High School Diploma desired; Equivalent work experience will be considered
· 2+ years of previous retail or point of sale work experience
· 1+ years of previous supervisor experience leading a team of employees
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
· Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws
· Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Ability to work flexible hours that extend beyond 9am to 5pm
· Ability to comply with all uniform policies
· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
· Ability to operate various motorized vehicles, including trucks, golf carts, forklifts, etc.
· Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
· Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction
· Must be able to speak with guests directly when other retail leadership is not present
· Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple prioriti
