AGCO is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join an exciting new Joint Venture between AGCO and Trimble ("JV" herein), reporting to the Joint Venture Assistant Controller. The Senior Cost Accountant primary responsibility is to support the business in all accounting matters, with main focus on product cost accounting. This includes standard cost set up, material inventory control, direct and indirect cost control and analysis, in addition to support on different areas of accounting responsibility. The Senior Accountant will also serve as a direct partner for the business in all production and cost related matters, as well as perform monthly close activities: preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, compiling workpapers for analysis or documentation support. The Senior Cost Accountant will be a key member of the JV Finance team by ensuring the general ledger is accurate for their areas of responsibility.

 

Your Impact

• Responsible for product cost accounting and all related matters (inventory, direct/indirect cost, etc.)
• Responsible for establishing efficient and effective accounting processes for areas of responsibility
• Support operations teams on implementing effective cost controls, suggesting and supporting the scope and design required ERP
• Perform monthly reconciliations
• Make necessary journal entries
• Provide regular monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis as needed

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Manufacturing and cost accounting experience required
• 3+ years of work experience in Accounting or Finance in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to identify/implement process improvements
• Working knowledge of SAP and cost methodology
