CCDF Technical Assistance Specialist- REMOTE

ICF’s Early Education Services Line of Business seeks an experienced Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Technical Assistance Specialist to provide ongoing, prompt, and accurate programmatic assistance to CCDF grantees. The CCDF Technical Assistance Specialist will contribute to the development of innovative, high-quality products and support Office of Child Care funded training and TA activities in alignment with CCDF requirements and best practice, such as assisting with TA requests, supporting peer learning opportunities, and identifying best practices related to CCDF implementation, early childhood systems building, and other priority topics.
The ideal candidate will have both a background and experience in early childhood education with knowledge of CCDF regulations and program implementation, with a focus on supporting effective CCDF administration. Specialists may be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Training and Technical Assistance (TTA).
The position is full-time and remote and may involve up to 20% travel to OCC sponsored events.
Key Responsibilities:
Is an active member of the team, participating in calls as requested by team lead, engaging in the content, and taking responsibility for understanding the goals and objectives of the client and contributing to the opportunity to deliver services and products that exceed expectations.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Explores and recommends methods and techniques for analyzing and reporting data.
- Assists in development of databases and organization of materials in Smartsheet to support information requests from the client.
- Participates in discussion for clarification of the request and synthesis of data, as needed.
- Prepares reports from databases to assist the team in their work.
Develop and Organize Resources:
- Participates in research in the preparation of content for resources.
- Contributes to the development of resources by suggesting new and creative approaches for sharing information.
- Assists in the development of accurate, easy to understand resources.
- Organizes the review, approval, production, and dissemination of resources.
- Oversees the organization and management of resources.
- Assists in the migration of files and resources as needed.
Support the Delivery of TA:
- Assists in the delivery of webinars, office hours and training using a variety of modalities, including Teams, Zoom and other webinar platforms.
- Works with the leadership team and staff to develop and execute targeted and universal training and technical assistance (T/TA) activities (e.g., national, and cross-regional face-to-face trainings, webinars, peer learning groups, and communities of practice), including coordinating the event production calendar and tracking logistics for T/TA events.
- Ensure that T/TA events are evaluated in a consistent and timely manner and follow-up on any issues or questions that surface.
- Participate in and/or lead various workgroups as requested by the client or the Project Director, and as relevant to the project’s work.
- Enter data on TA planning and provision within the TA Tracker database, adhering to established protocols and timelines.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, public policy, public administration, or management.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in early childhood, public policy, public administration, or management.
- 5+ years of experience offering training and technical assistance within early care and education, including strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Prior experience with CCDF regulations and applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Prior experience developing training and TA content, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience coordinating teams to establish and track project plans, milestones, and timelines for project deliverables.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience supporting the implementation of the CCDF program at the Federal, State or Local Level.
- Experience at state and/or national level with policies, early care and education regulations, and systems, particularly the implementation of the CCDF and other state early learning programs.
