The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated Senior Electrical and Control Technician to optimize our NuSil team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.

The team
Avantor’s Biomaterials and Operations team is part of our NuSil Technology business unit. This team supports the maintenance and reliability department by helping with the maintenance and workflow of the facility.
What we’re looking for
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2-5 years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- AS/AA degree preferred
- Experience with generating code preferred

The Senior Electrical and Controls Technician has attained or is gaining full proficiency in specific disciplines associated with the job functions noted below. They work under moderate supervision and shows potential to execute more��complex tasks and contributes to projects successfully.
- Assists in installation of new equipment including conduit and wiring, building industrial equipment control panels, and startup testing.
- Performs troubleshooting, installation, and modification of increasingly complex electrical and control systems including but not limited to, components such as mechanical relays, solid state relays, programmable logic controllers, ethernet networking switches and infrastructure, temperature controllers, thermocouples, heaters and refrigeration units, variable frequency drives, AC synchronous motors, motor starters, contactors, potentiometers, timers, circuit protection devices, and pneumatically and electrically driven valves.
Works from increasingly complex drawings, electrical drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, manuals and verbal/written instructions on installation, repair, replacement and/or maintenance of process equipment and electrical/control systems.
Updates, modifies, and generates electrical drawings as needed based on repair, upgrades, or new equipment design and implementation.
Works closely with engineers, mechanics, calibration technicians, and operators in day-to-day operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
