Position Summary:
As a Project Execution Sr Manager for Special Projects, you will be handling several projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for planning, defining, and executing Major Correctives, Retrofits, and Repair campaigns on different sites in USA and Canada. In addition to managing your own projects, you will contribute to the development of our Special Projects department for Major components replacements together with a team of skilled Project Managers and Project Leads. You will drive and improve new methods and solutions for Major Correctives and optimize existing concepts. You will be responsible of the Resource department, responsible for providing qualified traveling service technicians and subcontractors as needed to perform a variety of site activities including, but not limited to, maintenances, inspections, retrofits, large component exchanges and repairs.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all projects meet or exceed Nordex HSE legal requirements.
- Overall HSE responsibility of Nordex activity at the project:
- Update and communicate Project HSE RACI to onsite leaders per project.
- Manage and/or generate HSE/CINC tickets.
- HSE Incident Reporting & HSE Incident Investigation
- Risk assessment definition
- Control of High-Risk Work
- HSE Training compliance for any Nordex or subcontractor at the project
- Develop and execute the Company’s North American business strategies as it relates to Services third party transactional work. This consists of budgeting for the appropriate hiring staff, tooling needs, both hand tools and specialized tools associated with up tower repairs of gearboxes and generators. Ultimately ensuring that equipment and personnel are purchased / hired consistent with the first signed agreements for transactional work requirements.
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated from the top down and that they are followed and adhered too.
- Communicate and maintain trustworthy relationships with business partners to ensure company growth.
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of managers providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum results.
- Manage a large team of decentralized travel service technicians.
- Prepares budget, cost allocation and control of special projects, maintenance, inspections, retrofits, large component exchanges and repairs.
- Prepares plans and schedule resources for maintenances, inspections, retrofits, large component exchanges and repairs.
- Negotiates cost of equipment, tooling, and subcontractor agreements.
- Coordinates logistics/mobilization of necessary specialized tooling and equipment for maintenance and repair activities at site.
- Maintains required training certifications and qualifications ensuring personnel are performing work safely and to quality standards.
- Ensure all site activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:
- Associate degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Electrical discipline preferred
- Minimum of 5 years in project management, project lead or other management capacity, especially within the renewable energy or construction industry
- Proven experience with wind turbine operations and maintenance, large component exchanges and repairs
- Proven experience with financial budget management, forecasting and cost controlling.
- Strong computer skills (MS office) required.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards, SAP or Maximo software systems
- Knowledge of assembly, commissioning, testing, repair and maintenance of wind turbine generators or related equipment
- Ability to think and analyze situations in a fast-paced environment.
