Position:  Supervisory Aide II-IV/AM

Location:  Weirton Elementary School 

Placement:  K-4 

Employment Terms:  200 days 

Hours per day:  7 hours 

Salary Range: C-F 

Times:  7:45am - 2:45pm

In accordance with §18A-5-8 (2)(A) once the instructional term begins, those certified as autism mentors and/or one-on-one aides are not permitted to transfer to another aide/autism mentor position until the next instructional term (year) begins.  In addition, §18A-5-8 (f) indicates that an aide and any other service employee may transfer to another position of employment one time only during any one half of a school term (semester) unless approved by the superintendent (designee).  During the first year of employment as an aide or any other service classification, a service employee may not transfer to another position of employment during the first one-half school term (semester) unless approved by the county superintendent. Aides not certified as autism mentors or one-on-one aides will be permitted to transfer only one time per semester.  This does NOT prohibit aides or all other service employees from applying for positions of interest, it simply means successful applicants will be transferred only when permitted by code.
