The Secrets Service team is part of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Cryptography division, in charge of highly secure, highly available and scalable secrets management APIs and its backend. The team adopt latest and greatest cryptographic technology and best practices to provide a trusted service for both internal and external customers, to store and retrieve secret materials efficiently. As a manager of the software engineering team, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Lead the team to build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.You will be required to interact with other functional peer group managers in our organization. You will interact with senior management on team status and technical roadmap. Responsibility:
- Manage a team of software engineers to design and deliver new security features, provide technical leadership and execution direction for your team, develop and execute technical roadmap
- Drive operational excellence and improvement for production services
- Seek opportunities to continuously improve your team’s quality and development processes
- Provide strong project leadership in planning, execution, tracking and reporting. Provide regularly update on critical projects to senior leadership.
- Coordinate projects across multiple teams and organizations
- Keep stakeholders updated throughout the development cycle
- Hiring and develop top talent to grow the team capacity and capability
- Coach and mentoring direct reports with career growth and personal development
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalence field
- 5+ years of experience delivering and supporting highly available SaaS/PaaS services
- 0-2+ years of people management experience with an engineering team
- Working experience in Security/Cryptography domain
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
- Working familiarity with scrum/agile processes
- Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking tools

US: Hiring Range: from $79,700 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
