Job Description:
The School of Education at Iowa State University is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to serve as the Program Evaluation and Data Systems Specialist for the Educator Preparation Program (EPP). This position plays a critical role in supporting accreditation, assessment, and program improvement by managing data collection, analysis, and reporting across multiple licensure programs.
In this role, you will work closely with faculty, staff, and administrators to coordinate the EPP’s comprehensive assessment plan. You will facilitate the collection and analysis of data at the course, program, and unit levels, ensuring data are accurate, accessible, and useful for decision-making. You will also oversee the EPP’s data management system, providing training and technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate and manage student and program evaluations for all educator licensure programs and the unit as a whole.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to evaluate and update assessment instruments and data collection processes.
Oversee the EPP’s data management system: work with the vendor, manage assessment components, maintain the system, and train end users.
Analyze and interpret data to support continuous improvement and produce required local, state, and federal reports (e.g., Title II, AACTE/PEDS, Iowa Department of Education reports).
Ensure compliance with established procedures for entering and reviewing quality data.
Serve on committees such as the Educator Preparation Coordinating Council, Assessment Subcommittee, and others as assigned.
