As a Security Guard - Chemical Access in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated areas. Your presence will support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. You will play a key role in managing entry points, verifying credentials, and responding to routine situations with professionalism and exceptional customer service. This position requires you to interact with a variety of individuals, ensuring that only authorized personnel gain entry. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required, and you may be responsible for making rounds or responding to incidents using a company vehicle. Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access-related inquiries and procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and respond to incidents or emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
• Document and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during critical situations to help to maintain order and support emergency response activities.
• Adhere to all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to the chemical and petrochemical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
