The Manager, Operations provides assistance and serve as principal assistant/manager to various Authority Departments and Divisions in a wide range of operational areas.Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Firm grasp of priorities. Adapts readily to new and changing conditions.
- Prioritizes workflow to ensure timely completion of requirements.
- Manage/process the requirements to authorize work within Authorization to Proceed (ATP) processing guidelines.
- Ensure Requests for Payments (RFP) adhere with their relevant contractual terms before RFP approval.
- Manage/process the requirements to approve payment requests within an 80% on time performance.
- Ensures agency/contractual requirements and procedures are adhered to.
- Adapts readily to new and changing authorization and payment processing requirements.
- Takes time and appropriate follow-up action on issues presented by others, internally or externally.
- Manage/coordinate financial aspects of contract with consultants and Authority personnel.
- Follows up with the Finance Department to ensure timely payment.
- Provides accurate, detailed reports for the Division Director and/or Unit Manager on issues raised in liaison role.
- Proactive in recommending resolutions to the Division Director and/or Unit Manager upon identification of issues and potential problems.
- Provide appropriate follow-up action on issues presented by others, internally or externally.
- Reviews and analyze division policies and procedures to determine their continued appropriateness to current workload needs.
- Provides support for general business and administrative tasks including but not limited to the reconciliation of contracts, justification memorandum and managerial tasks.
- Recommends and assists in the development of new policies/procedures, as necessary.
- Assist with Contract Management: inclusive of Request for Proposals for new contracts, contract language changes, requests for funding and Sub-Inclusions.
- Effectively takes on and executes special projects and assignments. Projects are to be completed accurately, timely and in proper format.

- Encourages subordinates to advance knowledge and proficiency.
- Serves as a liaison among various SCA Divisions, consultants, DoED, and others.

Work Experience
