Senior Food Service Worker

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Senior Food Service Worker will work in the different aspects of preparing and delivering food to clients.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Supervise Cook and Kitchen Attendant staff   

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations at all times   

• Organize inventory, storage, and distribution of food items and supplies   

• Help to plan menus, apportion ingredients, and use food surpluses   

• Rotate stock items and restock kitchen for subsequent shifts   

• Ensure food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at shift end   

• Must be willing to operate company vehicle   

• Other duties as assigned   

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required   

• Two years of experience as a Cook is required   

• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driver record  

• Demonstrated knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required   

• ServeSafe Certification preferred   

• Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization   

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion   

• Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process   

• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
