Temporary, Director, Promotion (Northeast)
As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Vice President of Promotion at Wheelhouse Records, playing a pivotal role in driving our artists' success. Your mission is to ensure that our artists' music receives the maximum exposure it deserves, by diligently monitoring stations, building strong relationships with radio personnel, and leveraging your expertise in radio promotion within the Northeast U.S. territory (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia). We are looking for someone who is passionate about music and possesses a deep understanding of the ever-evolving landscape of radio promotion. Your role will be vital to the achievement of our ambitious goals, and we would love to have you on board for 6 months!
What You’ll Be Doing.

Diligently monitoring your stations on a daily basis to stay well informed of the content they are exposing to their audience, for both your records and those of the competition.

Proactively seeking new airplay (Adds) and striving to move our records up in station rotations (conversions).

Covering Radio Shows and Tour Dates as needed to represent our artists and their respective radio programmer relationships.

Developing strong working relationships with radio station personnel and continuously improving these relationships to better maximize airplay.

Demonstrating a thorough understanding of sales and streaming charts and utilizing them as effective promotion tools.

Building and nurturing relationships with all assigned stations to maximize airplay in your region.
Must-Haves.

Comprehensive understanding of Radio Promotion.

Passion for record promotion for radio airplay.

Familiarity with the country format.

A full working knowledge of the charts and associated software, Mediabase and Music Connect.

Proficiency with Mediabase, BDS, Microsoft Word, Excel.

Strong team player with self-motivation and initiative.

Exceptional time management skills that enable you to meet deadlines easily.
Nice-to-Haves.

Bachelor’s degree in Music Business or a related field.

Proximity to states within Northeast territory: Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, North Carolina and Virginia
