Position Overview
Pontiac Correctional Center is seeking to hire an Office Associate for their Record Office. The ideal candidate is an individual who can multitask and prioritize daily activities. They will handle reports and records that are highly confidential, with sensitive information in a diverse agency. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with an incredible team. Job Responsibilities
- Performs complex time calculations of individuals in custody.
- Performs various Record Office related duties.
- Keyboards routine correspondence and performs data input of various facility records, charts, and files.
- Organizes Master Files for the facility.
- Compiles statistical information and completes all required monthly and special reports.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
- Requires ability to type accurately at 45 wpm.
Conditions of Employment
- Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of the position held, is prohibited.
