Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Manager for T&D Projects to join our Planning, Engineering, and Construction team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location. Relocation assistance may also be provided to the successful candidate.

What does a Manager for T&D Projects do for us?

This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of Idaho Power’s transmission and distribution (T&D) capital infrastructure portfolio, including projects driven by generator interconnection requests, large load customer requests, system reliability, safety, and growth needs. This role provides leadership and oversight for complex, multi-year capital projects and programs spanning transmission lines, substations, distribution lines, and communications infrastructure. The position is accountable for both project and portfolio level performance related to safety, schedule, cost, quality, and risk, and for ensuring projects are delivered in alignment with corporate strategy, regulatory requirements, and customer commitments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in engineering, business, finance, or construction management

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:

  • Advanced engineering, business or related degree

Experience:

  • 8 years of accumulated experience in engineering design, or large-scale project or portfolio management, ideally within utility or infrastructure industries
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with major contracting delivery models for large scale capital infrastructure projects
  • Federal and local permitting requirements and processes

Preferred:

  • 5 years of leadership experience

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position

Preferred:

  • PMP or PgMP


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
