Ndustrial Ntern Program Details: 

Ndustrial provides an opportunity to explore experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting.

The Ndustrial Ntern Program is a paid 13 week opportunity based in our downtown Raleigh, NC headquarters. Our Nterns work on real challenges and solve real problems with the support of our program leads and managers.

• May 14 - August 14 (13 weeks)
• 29 hours per week
• In-Office Mon - Thurs

About the Role:

We are seeking a Software Development Intern with a passion for technology and a strong desire to learn. As an intern at Ndustrial.io, you will work closely with our engineering team to develop, test, and maintain our web applications. You will gain experience with modern web technologies—including React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL—while contributing to real projects that deliver value to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work alongside experienced developers, designers, and product managers to design and implement new features and functionalities.
• Front-End Development: Develop and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience.
• Back-End Integration: Assist in integrating and optimizing databases (PostgreSQL) and server-side logic using GraphQL.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable code following best practices in version control (Git), testing, and continuous integration.
• Problem-Solving & Debugging: Identify and fix bugs or performance bottlenecks, and propose solutions to improve system stability and performance.
• Learning & Growth: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, actively participating in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• Must be a junior or senior currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Must be available to work on-site from our Raleigh, NC office for the entirety of the program
• Some hands-on experience or coursework in React and/or TypeScript
• Basic understanding of databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Familiarity with GraphQL or other API technologies is a plus
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical team members and present ideas and projects to a broad audience
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and excited to expand your skill set.
• Strong proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets/Excel, including advanced functions
