Job Description

In this role you will supervise hourly employees in the continuous operation of the plant's production activities with a focus on safety, quality, continuous process improvements, and production efficiencies.

The Forming Shift Supervisor will:

• Ensure a safe working environment for employees and promote a strong safety culture
• Troubleshoot and assist employees operating forming machines
• Monitor job change progress and assist in quality decisions
• Input key shift performance indicators into production databases
• Audit for process control and enforce standardized work for the entire facility
• Ensure that employees are trained and are knowledgeable of department procedures

The Forming Shift Supervisor should have:

• Must have forming experience
• Strong background with scheduling (people, operations, preventative maintenance)
• Proven ability to coach, motivate, and lead hourly employees
• Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing facility

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous hot end experience in the glass industry
• Must be able to work a rotating schedule, with some weekend and holiday requirements
• Previous experience supervising people is preferred, but not required
• Proficient in MS Office suite

Additional Information

What we offer at O-I:

 Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $73,000 and $90,000 and includes an 8% shift differential, and a short term incentive target of 12%.  Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
