About the role
Software Engineer III (InSITE) Senior
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Leads PPSS, PDSS and integration lab support by leading the identification and fixing of defects in software discovered in operational environments. L
- eads a team who debugs, patches, and updates software to correct issues as they arise.
- Reviews and audits systems to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Leads the monitoring and evaluation new COTS software releases, assessing their impact on existing systems and adjusts or updates in-house software to maintain compatibility and leverage new features.
- Conducts regression testing for new software patches or updates to ensure they do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
- Tests software patches with all versions and variants of the system to ensure backward compatibility.
- Documents test procedures, results, and prepares detailed reports on deficiencies, failures, exceptions, and variances as required.
- Configures software environments for development, testing, and simulation purposes.
- Provides help desk support for the lab, assisting users with technical issues, guidance on software tools, and troubleshooting.
Degree(s)/Years of Experience: (10+BA/BS or 5+MA/MS) or (14+AA/No Degree).

Experience:
- Experience leading PPSS, PDSS and integration lab support by leading the identification and fixing of defects in software discovered in operational environments.
- Experiencing leading a team who debugs, patches, and updates software to correct issues as they arise.
- Experience with reviews and audits systems to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Experience leading the monitoring and evaluation new COTS software releases, assessing their impact on existing systems and adjusts or updates in-house software to maintain compatibility and leverage new features.
- Experience conducting regression testing for new software patches or updates to ensure they do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
