Senior Product Manager (Operator Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of the deployment and operational aspects of the Corda platform.At R3 we are on a mission to build the platform that will revolutionize regulated financial industries, enabling our customers to build and operate ground-breaking distributed multi-party enterprise applications.  Applications range from central bank digital currency to the digitizing of financial market infrastructure, and to the issuance, trade and settlement of native digital assets.  As the owner of the Deployment and Operator experience, you will be directly responsible for the out-of-the-box experience of the platform for both those customers who are deploying &amp; operating multi-party application networks on Corda, or deploying &amp; operating an application on Corda. You will work closely with platform engineering teams to implement your target user experience and work with customers to help them meet their service delivery needs. <h3>Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Research customer (operator) needs and pains, define and implement operational improvements &amp; features towards a target operational experience.</li><li>Develop a clear product strategy based on customer needs to make operating Corda software a remarkable experience for your customers.</li><li>Work in partnership with Platform Engineering and DevOps teams to define features, priorities and themes, and coordinate product delivery, necessary to meet your customers' needs.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of competitors’ product offerings and identify market opportunities to ensure that the Corda platform remains competitive and differentiated.</li><li>Represent the Corda platform to sales, customers and the market.</li></ul> <h3>What you'll bring:</h3> <ul> <li>Track record of delivering enterprise software into a customer’s operating environment and/or managing and operating enterprise software as a service.</li><li>Experience of the key requirements of the enterprise operating environment, including: service levels, monitoring, security, availability, business continuity, and cost of ownership.</li><li>Experience of delivering enterprise software and/or services built on cloud-native technologies such as containers and orchestration (Docker &amp; Kubernetes).</li><li>An entrepreneurial mindset. You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, thriving in ambiguity, taking ownership and making clear, consistent decisions in the face of complexity and uncertainty to get the work done.</li><li>Ability to think big and small. You should be comfortable defining a completely new experience or optimizing an existing feature.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences (internal or external)</li><li>Experience and proven success in delivering software products to market in an agile software development environment.</li><li>Degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>Relevant industry experience in delivering enterprise software.</li><li>Working experience in a Product Management role.</li></ul> <h3>Nice to have:</h3> <ul> <li>Hands-on DevOps experience prior to moving to Product Management.</li><li>Hands-on experience as an operator of enterprise software.</li><li>Familiarity with design thinking techniques and defining the user experience.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud services and open-source products &amp; practices.</li><li>Experience in regulated industries such as financial services.</li><li>Interest in Blockchain / distributed ledger technology.</li></ul>At R3, we encourage a diverse and inclusive workforce.
