About the role

Job Description

A position within Facilities Technical Solutions (FTS) accountable for providing Engineering support functions for maintenance and utilities at the West Point site. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing guidance to customers plant-wide in establishing and maintaining an efficient, effective use of CMMS systems and preventative maintenance functions, providing project oversight, processing maintenance and utilities CMMS requests and assistance with various maintenance support functions while ensuring compliance to all site standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Works directly with key site personnel. other divisions, outside contractors, partners. vendors. and suppliers in coordinating issues related to SAP Plant Maintenance/CMMS activities/Preventative Maintenance Program

  • Provides guidance to various production, research, facilities, and engineering groups to ensure that an effective, efficient, compliant CMMS/Preventative Maintenance (PM) program exists across the West Point site

  • As a part of the FTS Business Support, Maintenance Utilities Group (BSMU) you will support regulatory audits and investigations in the generating data and reports.

  • Follows site regulatory, quality, environmental, and safety requirements and embraces sustainability in the execution of daily activities.

  • Monitors compliance to applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications

  • Continually looks to improve operations by developing efficient business solutions that meet client objectives and ensure business continuity and compliance.

  • Executes, and/or directs continuous improvement projects that increase compliance, simplify, standardize and/or gain efficiencies. Summarizes project progress, delays or improvement opportunities.

  • Performs updates to Standard Operating Procedures as needed or requested

  • Interacts with hourly, salaried and contract employees in routine matters, troubleshooting SAP Plant Maintenance and Asset Manager systems. Ensures compliance to all associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and data tandards

  • Interacts daily with customers to interpret their needs and requirements

  • Work with Capital Project Teams supporting the new asset integration into the CMMS, as well as, consistency in maintenance requirements of similar equipment. Support CMMS/PM program as a data steward and creation of reporting tools

  • Work with Maintenance teams in generation of data to aid in the identification of trends, patterns and insights to improve equipment reliability.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Coumputer Science or Equivalent familiarity/experience preferred in CMMS data stewardship or maintenance engineering

  • Computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) and operation of other peripheral devices

  • Attention to detail and deadlines. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ethics.

  • Motivated self-starter able to work with minimum supervision while exercising judgment in the daily performance of their duties

  • Proficient with SAP Plant Maintenance Module

  • Proficient with SAP Asset Manager

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ethics.

Skills Preferred: 

  • Prior relevant work, co-op, or internship experience

  • Engineering Project Management Experience  

  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Minimum of 1 year experience using Maximo. Procal, SAP. and\or other Computerized Maintenance Management System

  • Working knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) documentation requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in project and facilities management Strong problem solving skills and a hands-on approach to problem solving/Computer skills using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) and operation of other peripheral devices (iPad, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Applications

  • Positive working relationship with salaried and collective bargaining unit employees
