What does a successful Senior Director of Software Development do at Fiserv?

You will lead Application Development teams and collaborate with many cross-functional teams within technology and business. You will ensure predictable, consistent, and successful project delivery. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor large-sized programs and partner with key business stakeholders and IT senior management staff. 

What you will do:

• Manage and ensure cost-effective delivery of large and complex technology projects
• Develop customized solutions within the platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals
• Manage daily support and maintenance and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to application development/engineering teams on best practices, standards, tools, and methodologies
• Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure

What you will need to have:

• 12+ years of experience managing enterprise-wide programs
• 8+ years of experience managing application development teams on Microsoft and cloud platforms
• 5+ years of experience in leading digital transformation initiatives involving applications, database, network, cloud, security and process modernization
• 5+ years of experience in working with Agile teams
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience

What would be great to have:

• Microsoft Azure experience
• Experience in the banking or financial industry, particularly digital banking domain
• Experience in managing technology projects focused on transformation
• Experience in relevant project and program management methodologies

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
