Our Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior Consultant you’ll play a key role in that growth. We are looking to expand our team of professionals focused on providing high value, independent, trusted advice to our clients as they transition to a more sustainable economy.</p> <p> </p> <p>Your Key Responsibilities<br/> •Advise clients on insights and strategies related to sustainability and climate change topics.<br/> •Assist your manager in preparing work plans and client deliverables.<br/> •Build relationships and identify opportunities for clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas.<br/> •Research and contribute to the creation of business insights and follow up evolving regulatory requirements and trends relating to sustainability and climate change.<br/> •Contribute to new business development by highlighting potential opportunities for new engagements and responding to tenders.<br/> •Support team management.<br/> •Contribute to the development of the CCaSS team supporting junior members and leading by example.</p> <p> </p> <p>Skills And Attributes for Success<br/> EY is looking for a senior consultant to help clients respond to issues across the sustainability and climate change agenda. Key desired attributes from candidates include:<br/> •Passion for helping clients improve their sustainability in the long-term by driving the development of sustainable business drivers such as talent, innovation, corporate governance, and the creation of societal value.<br/> •Knowledge and experience of business strategy and operations, with either a strong background and/or experience in the field of ESG integration strategy, decarbonization and energy transition, circular economy, non-financial/sustainability reporting, sustainable finance, EHS and environmental management.<br/> •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Skeptical yet practical mindset to assess situations and reach conclusions objectively.<br/> •Self-awareness, respect for differences in individual style and background of your team members.<br/> •Teaming and displaying strong interpersonal skills. Someone who is eager to learn, contribute and collaborate to support the achievement of a shared vision.<br/> •Strong time and organization skills, ability to adapt quickly to changing environments, determination, and tenacity to see the matter you are working on to its conclusion.<br/> •Proactiveness in sharing new ideas to support achievement of shared vision.</p> <p> </p> <p>To qualify for the role, you must have:<br/> •A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Environmental Sciences, Finance, Economics or similar fields of study<br/> •At least 3 years of work experience advising clients on insights and strategies related to Sustainability Reporting and assurance; Sustainability/ESG integration Strategy; Impact measurement; Life-cycle assessment; Climate change risk; Carbon measurement and management; EHS Risk and compliance, Sustainable Finance/ Responsible Investment; Circular economy; Previous experience in working on complex projects that require knowledge of business / sustainability strategy and operation.<br/> •Understanding of key sustainability issues and trends and how they link to business value.<br/> •A dedication to teamwork<br/> •Prior consulting or high-impact industry experience is an advantage.<br/> •Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.<br/> •Strong project management and personnel management skills.<br/> •Willingness and ability for national and international travel, as necessary.</p> <p> </p> <p>Ideally, you also have:<br/> •Professional presence with the ability to quickly establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise.<br/> •Ability to analyze complex or unusual issues in the context of client engagements and deliver insightful and pragmatic solutions.</p> <p> </p> <p>What We Look For<br/> We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, analytical with an attention to detail, and logical thinkers, with a passion for sustainability and helping clients solve important problems.
