What this job involves 

We are currently seeking a Data Product Manager for the Capital Markets technology group within JLLT. This team provides JLL’s Capital Markets brokers, valuers and their teams with software and data to help them drive revenue and margin growth within their businesses. The Data Product Manager will lead the definition, execution and delivery of key initiatives relating to the ingestion of new datasets, how data is used within our business applications, and the creation of new products enabling business users to interact with and provide data.       

 

As a Data Product Manager at JLL Technologies, you will be directly responsible for: 

 

  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with customers, end-users, and internal teams to understand their data needs and translate them into detailed product requirement documentation (PRDs).

  • Backlog Management: Create and maintain the product backlog, consisting of user stories, feature requests, and technical tasks. Prioritize items based on business value, user needs, and development efforts. Continuously refine and groom the backlog to ensure its accuracy and relevance.

  • Agile Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers and data engineers to plan and execute product releases. Coordinate with the Scrum master to facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.

  • Product Development: Work closely with development teams to ensure that the product vision and requirements are effectively communicated and understood. Provide guidance and clarification on features, functionality, and user experience. Collaborate with developers to address technical challenges and make trade-offs when necessary.

  • Release Management: Coordinate and manage the release process, ensuring that new features and enhancements are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback to iteratively improve the product.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, keeping them informed about product updates, timelines, and changes. Conduct regular meetings and presentations to demonstrate product progress, gather feedback, and address concerns.

  • Product Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and technical specifications. Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

  • Product Performance Analysis: Monitor product performance and key metrics to identify areas for improvement. Gather and analyze user feedback, conduct market research, and stay informed about competitors' offerings. Use data-driven insights to drive product enhancements and optimization. 

 

What we are looking for 

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in technology or computer science preferred 

- 6+ years of product management experience 

- 5+ years of experience in roles focused on data 

- Commercial Real Estate and/or Financial Markets experience preferred 

- Strong SQL and analytical skills, including experience in data analysis 

- Proficiency in cross-functional collaboration, influence, and communication 

- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and lead and motivate others effectively 

- Exceptional attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach 

- Passion for building data-driven products with a strong focus on value 

Estimated compensation for this position is:

200,000.00 – 250,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
