PRODUCT MANAGER – Focus on API and Integrations

 

At Foley, a Product Manager serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and the Product Development Team. The Product Manager will become familiar with Foley’s product offerings and develop a deep understanding of the market, our customers, and our competitors. The Product Manager will be responsible for multiple products and will be the go-to person for sales, marketing, customer service, and engineering regarding these products.

 

The Product team is growing at Foley. Our vision is to create a strong product competency at Foley and drive the next phase of growth through product driven strategic initiatives.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

 

As a Product Manager, you will report to the VP of Product Management and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering.   

Because our departments work so closely together, we are always looking to improve our current process. We welcome new ways to work collaboratively with roles and departments. We cannot wait to hear your ideas!

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

·         Research and evaluate the market, current and potential customers, competition, and potential integration partners.

·         Lead the strategy, design, and successful delivery of API products to our customers and internal stakeholders.

·         Ensure the creation of clear and comprehensive API documentation, guidelines, and usage examples using Swagger or equivalent tools to facilitate seamless integration for developers and partners.

·         Oversee testing processes to ensure API products meet high standards of reliability, scalability, data privacy, and security.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to gather requirements and define specifications.

·         Respond to feature requests and issues, gather information, and understand the value proposition.

·         Break down complex tasks into manageable pieces, lay out an iterative plan, and create a roadmap for future releases.

·         Support internal stakeholders such as engineering, product marketing, sales, and operations with product demos, collateral, and training.

·         Define product KPIs and monitor product performance to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.

WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO HAVE

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems.

·         For non-computer science majors, hands-on experience with software development, webservices or integrations.

·         Proven experience (3+ years) in API product management or a related role with track record of successful API product delivery.

·         Technical understanding of APIs, webhooks, web services and RESTful architecture

·         Knowledge of computing platforms, software architectures and database designs.

·         Experience with scrum and agile methodologies.

·         Understanding of product development lifecycle and experience with SDLC tools such as Atlassian suite of tools or Azure DevOps.

·         Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze data and use it to make informed decisions.

·         Proficiency with Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
