Description -

The HP Cloud Client team delivers products and solutions that help customers transform their business as they move to the Cloud.  We are a small, fast-moving Global Business Unit that works in an ever-changing environment.  We are building a product management organization that is obsessed with our customers:  analyzing the competition, driving innovation, and thinking about the end-to-end customer experience to bring products that deliver the best price, features set, and value proposition to our customers around the world. The Cloud Client Software Product Manager is an essential member of the product management team and will focus on managing the full lifecycle, from concept to customer availability to end of life, of one of HP's Cloud Client software platforms.  

The success of the business and individual will depend on close interaction with the WW Thin Client regional business units and sales teams, collaboration with cross-functional teams such as R&D and WW Marketing, and the ability to understand key Thin Client market trends and customer requirements. 

  • Use Agile methodologies to define and communicate Product requirements through the Product Lifecycle, including using strong industry and market engagement to gather relevant information to support those needs 

  • Create and manage effective content and processes for product positioning and messaging used by regional partners, sales force, and channel partners. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams to ensure that the products and solutions are delivered per our marketing objectives. 

  • Work in partnership with regional teams on Go-to-Market activities, launch plans, and press engagement activities. 

  • Consistently perform competitive analysis against top industry players to ensure our lineup is differentiated and competitive 

  • Support business plan growth and manage products/solutions to meet revenue and profitability goals in line with team targets.  Will include investigating new business revenue and margin models that will contribute to this plan. 

  • Contribute to process enhancements to ensure that the overall process can scale with the business. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop subject matter expertise in HP and industry solutions

  • Evangelize these products internally within HP, to regional sales and technical team, and to customers 

  • Gather insights for the future development of the product to include customer requests, new technology, and competitive improvements/differentiation 

  • Review and help maintain all product documentation 

  • Assist Product Marketing with information and collateral toward maintaining HP website presence and creating customer-facing marketing content 

  • Assist or lead product training for different audiences; technical training or sales/product-related training 

  • Maintain a high level of interaction with the applicable HP thin client R&D teams. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in a software product management role

  • Understand agile software development models

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Strong understanding of SaaS development and business models

  • Software development experience prior to product management preferred

  • Experience working with customers and technical partners

  • Requires a BSEE/CS combined with 5+ years related experience or an MSEE/CS combined with 3+ years related experience
