ServiceTitan is looking for a hands-on, business-oriented and experienced attorney to join our legal team as Senior Counsel, Product and Privacy to provide practical and clear legal advice to our research, engineering, and product teams in the development and release of our products and services. This position is critical to the success of our product management and engineering business partners as we navigate global laws and regulations including data privacy, data protection and AI.
The Senior Counsel, Product and Privacy reports to our Deputy General Counsel, Product, Privacy and IP and will be part of a growing Global Legal Team. We are looking for a thoughtful, creative and collaborative individual, who will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and intellectually challenging work environment. While our headquarters are in Glendale, CA, this is a remote position.
What You’ll Do:
Lead as a trusted subject matter expert on privacy, AI, and data governance—providing strategic guidance on emerging technologies, regulatory compliance, and responsible data practices across the business.
Operate as a trusted business partner to product, engineering, data, and go-to-market teams, providing strategic, business-savvy counsel on privacy, data governance, AI and emerging tech throughout the product development lifecycle.
Guide product design and feature development with a privacy-by-design mindset, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, and emerging regulations) across our suite of SaaS tools.
Partner with the commercial legal team to negotiate and support privacy and product-related terms in customer and vendor agreements, including DPAs and complex data flows across our platform ecosystem.
Create, maintain, and update comprehensive checklists and playbooks to support product development, respond to data requests and enable customer data migration.
Lead the development and operationalization of scalable data and AI governance frameworks that support ServiceTitan’s growth while aligning legal requirements with business objectives.
Develop scalable internal guidance, playbooks, and training for product and commercial teams to proactively identify and manage privacy and data risks.
Develop and update privacy-related notices, policies, procedures, and guidelines
Monitor evolving laws and regulatory guidance related to data privacy, AI, and emerging technologies, translating legal developments into actionable guidance that supports innovation in the trades.
Contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven legal team that values curiosity, humility, and a strong sense of ownership. Support team members and help shape legal processes as ServiceTitan continues to scale.
What You’ll Bring:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
7-10 years of combined law firm and in-house experience with at least 4+ years of in-house product,privacy and AI governance experience counseling product management and engineering business partners at an innovative technology company.
A results-driven, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Deep expertise in U.S. and global privacy and data protection issues, including GDPR, CCPA, VCDPA, and CPA with a grasp of broader data protection frameworks.
Proven experience developing and implementing playbooks, privacy notices, and policies.
Technology industry experience working in a B2B SaaS Company. Experience in vertical SaaS is a plus.
Strong familiarity with digital technologies, data processing concepts, and information security requirements.
A flexible, proactive mindset with a passion for building scalable legal processes from the ground up.
Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to shifting priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
A strong understanding of SaaS, data-rich platforms, or regulated industries—and a passion for using technology to power the trades.
