The Work You Will Do:
Project Development Eng Specialist IV
Director of Operations / Corridors Program Office
This position will perform highly advanced engineering work on multiple major projects of high complexity, manage consultant construction engineering and inspection contracts, prepare monthly progress estimates and other project correspondence, develop contract modifications, and recommend final acceptance of projects in conjunction with the Operations Engineer.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Performs highly advanced engineering work. This position oversees plans, reports, and other documents as required. Performs as the Project Development/Special Projects Project Manager responsible for assisting in the District Corridors Program planning and implementation. Oversees, interacts, plans and directs the work of concept development addressing multi-modal transportation needs through a collaborative streamlined process in concert with other internal Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) offices. Identifies, refines, prioritizes, and coordinates the evaluation of these mobility needs relative to capacity, operational, and safety deficiencies. Develops recommendations regarding implementation plans for priority projects, which include evaluating preliminary engineering geometry, traffic analysis, right-of-way, utilities, cost estimates, environmental screening, funding strategies and time frames, including project tracking to ensure viable projects advance through the FDOT Work Program.
Serves as the District Interchange Review Coordinator (DIRC) in preparation, coordination of District review, and achieving Central Office/Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) approval of Methodology Letters
