Duties and Responsibilities
The MS Analyst I work within the Systems Evaluation Unit under the supervision of the Operations Services Manager (OSM). The MS Analyst I work in partnership with Planning Consultants, other Operation Review Specialist, project leads, and ISA staff to maintain the overall functionality and efficiency of HSMV software applications and systems in accordance with Florida statute and Department rule, policy, and procedure. This position will execute various forms of testing which include user acceptance testing, sprint testing, regression testing, and end-to-end system testing. This position is responsible for translating business requirements into test documentation to thoroughly test programmatic changes due to legislative changes, systems bugs, and enhancements; assisting in identifying system issues to include researching and analyzing possible solutions; testing programmatic changes before released into the production environment; and aiding customers with the implementation of modifications. This position is responsible for testing Florida Real-time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS), Motorist Maintenance (MM), MyDMV Portal and/or Online Registration and Identity Operating Network (ORION) applications used within the Department and by Tax Collector licensing agents.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Florida statute and HSMV rule, policy and procedure related to driver license and motor vehicles.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Skill in testing software applications and systems for accuracy.
