Description:

MassDEP seeks applicants for the position of Environmental Analyst IV (EA IV) within the Bureau of Air and Waste (BAW).  The position is based in the Boston Office located at 100 Cambridge St, Boston, MA.  The position will report to the “Air and UST Systems Branch Chief”, of the Information and Data Systems Implementation (IDSI) Section. This person should have strong communication skills and be able to work with others in a collaborative team environment. The workplace is a hybrid work model that combines working in the office and remotely.

The Environmental Analyst IV (EAIV) will serve as the “Source Registration Data Manager” for the Bureau of Air and Waste (BAW).

The EAIV will serve as the Data Management Lead who is primarily responsible for development, maintenance, and operation of various computerized data collection systems including those for Source Registration (SR) and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting.  This position generally oversees reporting software systems, processes, and the data they collect relating to SR and GHG.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assure problems with forms and data related to SR/GHG are identified, reported, and documented.  Testing is performed as needed/requested to further this objective.
  • Provide/develop reports from data sets as requested for internal and external use.  Ensure requests are fully and accurately met. 
  • Perform meaningful Quality Assurance (QA)of collected data
  • Generate annual SR Mailing Lists
  • Assist in developing Annual Compliance Fees and developing application for same.
  • Provide technical assistance and compliance assistance to facilities in the form of phone/e-mail help desk support, and implementation of other compliance assistance strategies.
