POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring high-quality product output. This role will focus heavily on the implementation and sustainment of 5S principles, streamlined workflow design, and a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement methodologies across production activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Responsible for evaluating, designing and implementing new manufacturing processes, optimizing existing ones, and developing process layout to ensure flow throughout the manufacturing process through 5S.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process plans, work instructions, and reports.
- Research new technologies and methods to improve manufacturing efficiencies and product qualities.
- Lead the development, implementation, training, and ongoing sustainment of 5S programs throughout the Motors facility.
- Assist Kaizen events and other CI workshops to drive specific process improvements.
- Utilize data analysis and statistical process control to monitor process performance, identify trends, and implement data-driven improvements.
- Ensure manufacturing processes and products comply with all relevant safety regulations and requirements.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role required.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and 5S required.
- Proficiency in workflow analysis, process mapping, and layout optimization required.
