As a member of the Perdoceo Marketing team, the Sr. Director Performance Content Marketing will serve as a key leader and decision maker responsible for ensuring appropriate visibility when a Perdoceo brand is searched for online and the appropriate content is served by a variety of search platforms. This strategic thinker and problem solver will also continually advocate to evolve and improve all facets of the content marketing channel at Perdoceo. This role must deliver in a strategic capacity but will also manage a team that must execute at the day to day level. This individual will work directly with our agencies and internal teams and therefore must be able to build strong relationships while also holding teams accountable. Given the nature of this role the ideal candidate should be very comfortable working with data to extract insights and continually optimize content across the web.
The Senior Director will manage a content portfolio across all PEC brands (CTU, AIU, Dojo, Trident, Digital Crafts and Cal Southern). The Sr. Director of Marketing is the marketing team’s performance content leader, responsible for managing content marketing, advertising, and web efforts to enhance the growth of the institutions and their programs. Supporting the Vice President of Digital Marketing the Sr. Director develops a comprehensive content marketing strategy designed to serve the universities marketing and advertising needs. The position collaborates with internal departments, as well as agencies, and manages all phases of the content marketing strategy from intake to delivery. The Sr. Director makes decisions about the approach of all design and content components, and provides direction to the design, content, and online teams to ensure alignment with department and organizational goals and objectives. This position is responsible for the effective and timely development, management, and implementation of the department’s advertising, marketing collateral, and campaigns.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and execute the overall content strategy to articulate the benefits of PEC's universities, creating relevant content for various channels including short-form editorial content, blogs, and other long-form content as well as new content types for campaigns including interactive content and video.
- Lead the development of innovative content formats that engage prospective students, pushing the boundaries of traditional content marketing to include Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models.
- Collaborate closely with brand team to identify key messages and updates, ensuring that university content articulates and delivers on brand messaging
- Compile and analyze data regularly to identify campaign and macro level trends in the content marketing ecosystem
- Accurately forecast monthly and annual KPI’s for traffic, lead, and application volumes for all content marketing channels.
- Evaluate new online products and flows offered by vendors and media companies
- Work with compliance to ensure marketing flows and collateral are to PEC standards
- Partner with internal marketing departments, operations departments and agencies to create a cohesive inquiry generation strategy
- Proficiently manage financial projections and operate within budget
- Serve as a key liaison for all internal clients and external media contacts
- Supervise team member projects to be completed on time and on budget
- Work with creative, web, and media teams to ensure deadlines are met on all projects
- Partner with digital media team to create fresh and differentiated performance online content
- Work collaboratively with university departments and key employees within those areas to problem solve and provide best content marketing output
- Organize and manage reporting efforts on key campaigns to make data-driven decisions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, information technology or relevant degree.
- Minimum 10 years of search or performance based marketing experience; agency experience a plus.
- Superior organizational skills to establish/maintain productive cross-functional relationships in a collaborative team-based environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentation and facilitation)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results and deadline driven environment.
