Join us as we lead the data revolution in South-Eastern Europe and beyond!</p><p><strong>What Your Day Might Look Like:</strong></p><ul> <li>Lead the implementation of high quality, scalable and performant data solutions leveraging SQL, PySpark, and enterprise-grade tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake.</li> <li>Work together with Product Owners to ensure that the project team delivers correctly scoped projects on time and on budget.</li> <li>Design and implement robust data models (star/snowflake schemas, complex SCDs) and data warehouse/lakehouse patterns to support large-scale analytics and BI platforms.</li> <li>Champion data governance and quality by designing frameworks and accelerators for monitoring, lineage tracking, source-to-target mappings, and automated validation processes.</li> <li>Partner with stakeholders across engineering, AI, BI, and product teams to define product backlog and ensure data solutions delivery aligned with business requirements.</li> <li>Drive performance optimization and troubleshooting strategies for production pipelines, ensuring reliability and scalability under high-demand workloads.</li> <li>Establish and enforce best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and DevOps workflows, including Git-based version control and Agile methodologies.</li> <li>Mentor and coach data engineers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the team.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Your Superpowers 🚀</strong></p><ul> <li>BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.</li> <li>Advanced ETL/ELT and modern data warehousing, such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, MS Fabric.</li> <li>Expert SQL, Python, PySpark with proven performance tuning.</li> <li>Strong in relational &amp; NoSQL DBs, such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.</li> <li>Deep data modelling expertise, such as star schema, data vault, complex SCDs.</li> <li>Proficient in Azure or similar.</li> <li>Skilled with BI tools such as Power BI or similar.</li> <li>Practitioner of Agile delivery and strong understanding of DevOps/Cloud Engineering techniques.</li> <li>Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value.</li> <li>Fluent in English, both written and spoken.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Bonus Points For:</strong></p><ul> <li>5+ years of professional data engineering experience, with a history of technical leadership and decision-making.</li> <li>Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and architectures, ideally applying them to data engineering solutions.</li> <li>Extensive experience with enterprise platforms like Salesforce, SAP or Entersoft.</li> <li>Experience with no-code/low-code ETL tools such as Airflow, dbt, Matillion, Fivetran, etc.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of multiple cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS, GCP.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of multiple BI tools, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, etc.</li> <li>Proven track record and domain knowledge delivering data solutions for industries, such as banking, retail, manufacturing, etc. </li> <li>Experience with Java or Scala and OO/functional programming concepts.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Perks on Perks:</strong></p><ul> <li>Competitive salary and hybrid work model – come hang out in our Athens office or work remotely from anywhere in European economic Area (EU, Switzerland etc.) or UK (up to 6 weeks per year).</li> <li>Training budget to level up your skills from the top tech partners in the market (Microsoft, AWS, Salesforce, Databricks etc.) – whether it’s certifications or courses, we’ve got you covered.</li> <li>Private insurance, top-tier tech gear, and the chance to work with a stellar crew.</li> </ul><p></p><p>Ready to create some data magic with us?
